Touching Acts NPC hosts Christmas Party for beneficiaries on 12 December at the boarding home where Christmas donations were received from considerate citizens and organizations.
The Saturday of 19 December was a day full of smiles and content from all 20 of our beneficiaries as they received Christmas presents from generous individuals and companies from Mthatha. Each child was presented with clothes and the occasion also served as a year-end party where everyone indulged on a braai and snacks which were donated by DG Murray Trust.
Having received new clothes and guaranteed to blend in with other children, our beneficiaries were overwhelmed with the amount of donations and support the boarding home continues to receive from the likes of Arm In Arm In Africa, OR Tambo District Municipality, Betusile Mcinga, Country Meats Market, Boxer Superstore and the Mothers Union from St Barnabas Anglican Church, to name but a few.
Premier Foods has since July been donating bread to TA every day, we offer our gratitude to them and their staff as their donation ensured that during the national lockdown, our beneficiaries were guaranteed their daily bread.
Surprise! Surprise!!
As we going on about our business and catering to the children, a sudden hoot from outside the gate disturbed us as we were not expecting anyone. Enters a representative from Pick n Pay with a 58-inch surprise.
We were blessed by a food voucher to the value of R5000 and a 58-inch 4K Ultra HD television by Pick n Pay. This generous gift means the children will now be able to watch educational content and spend some time relaxing over cartoons.
In keeping with the spirit of December where families spend time together nibbling on scrumptious meals, all TA boarding home beneficiaries were allowed and encouraged to visit their families during the festive season.
On behalf of all beneficiaries and staff, Touching Acts NPC wishes to express its gratitude and to wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Prosperous New Year in 2021.
